Author Biographies
Dr. Vikash C. Mishra serves as a quality manager at Chimera
Transplant Research Foundation (http://chimeralabs.org/), New
Delhi, India. He has been actively involved in research, laboratory
management, quality control, and the publication of scienti昀椀c papers
in peer-reviewed journals. With a PhD in Biotechnology from Amity
University, Uttar Pradesh, and over 15 years of experience, he has
contributed signi昀椀cantly to the 昀椀eld. His research focuses on topics
such as DNA pro昀椀ling, HLA matching, stem cell transplantation,
genetic polymorphisms in Indian populations, and laboratory quality
systems. He has more than 50 research articles in peer-reviewed
international journals. Additionally, he has presented at various
international conferences and served as a reviewer for several peerreviewed journals. His commitment to academic and professional
development is evident through his supervision of student
dissertations, participation in training programs, and involvement in
quality management systems.

Dinesh Chandra (M.Sc. Biotechnology), Assistant Quality Manager,
Chimera Transplant Research Foundation, New Delhi, India, received
his master of Science in Biotechnology. He has good hands-on
experience in histocompatibility testing. He is also the assistant
quality manager of the laboratory. He has published more than 25
research articles in peer-reviewed international journals with high
impact factors.

Dr. Vimarsh Raina (MD Pathology), Medical Director, Chimera
Transplant Research Foundation, New Delhi, India, received his
specialization (MD) in Pathology from Dayanand Medical College,
Ludhiana (Punjab), India. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma
in Hospital Administration from the University of Delhi. He is
a leading Molecular Pathologist of the South East Asia and a
healthcare industry veteran with over 30 years of experience in
conceptualizing and building India’s fastest-growing throughput
diagnostic service and an international stem cell donor registry,
over 200 publications, two book chapters, four patents and is an
ISO 15189 auditor. Dr. Raina recently won the BMJ South Asia
“Healthcare Innovation of the Year 2018” Award. He has been
honoured for his social enterprise and his commitment towards
humanity and was conferred the “Abhinav Gupta Samman.” He is
a sought-after speaker at International Pathology meetings and
conferences. He strongly believes that the 昀椀eld of medical sciences
is extremely dynamic and constantly transforming. Therefore, he
advocates that the clinical application of medical knowledge should
consider changes in societal needs and demands. Dr. Vimarsh
Raina is the founder and medical director of GeneBandhu, an adult
stem cell donor not‑for‑pro昀椀t social enterprise that is part of the
World Bone Marrow Donors Association (WMDA). This Network
connects voluntary stem cell donors globally with patients with lifethreatening diseases, such as blood cancers.
