The International Journal of Conformity Assessment (IJCA) is an international, peer-reviewed journal serving conformity
assessment academics and practitioners. IJCA aims to make a meaningful contribution to the fields of testing,
inspection, certification, and accreditation by providing a high-quality platform for the dissemination of new knowledge
and methods. IJCA’s primary audience includes conformity assessment scholars, practitioners, and other interested
individuals and organizations. The journal covers key areas of conformity assessment such as testing and calibration
laboratories, inspection agencies, product certification bodies, management system certification bodies, organizations
offering certification of persons, and training course developers and providers.
IJCA welcomes contributions addressing all aspects of conformity assessment. While accepting a wide array of
scholarly contributions from various disciplinary approaches, the editors especially encourage research that is novel,
visionary, or pathbreaking. Submissions must be relevant to the conformity assessment field, sufficiently rigorous both
conceptually and methodologically rigorous, and written in a clear, concise, and logical manner.
IJCA is published by the International Accreditation Service (IAS), a nonprofit organization based in Brea, California,
USA. IAS is an accreditation body and a signatory to the MLAs/MRAs of the International Laboratory Accreditation
Cooperation (ILAC), the Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC), and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF).
IAS is also an associate member of the Inter-American Accreditation Cooperation (IAAC). IAS remains neutral with
respect to all published articles and any related jurisdictional claims.
